Ooh interesting. I wonder if chickens are the only species to have this or whether there are other species of bird (or maybe even animal) that have not yet been researched that share this? Maybe then we can learn more about the eyesight and abilities of chickens and potentially that hyperuniform optical circuits, light detectors and other materials could
be controlled to be sensitive or impervious to certain light
wavelengths.
